Hot, cold, repeat
Contrast therapy — alternating sauna heat with a cold shower or cool-down — is the protocol behind the Nordic tradition and today's recovery science. Heat dilates blood vessels; cold constricts them. Cycling the two acts like a pump for circulation, blunts inflammation, and delivers the endorphin surge regulars chase. A cold shower afterward completes the contrast circuit at home.
A starter protocol
- 10–15 minutes in the sauna, 160–195°F
- 1–3 minutes cold — shower or hose
- Rest and rehydrate for 5 minutes
- Repeat 2–3 rounds; end on cold for energy, warm for sleep
Heart & circulation
Sauna heat raises heart rate like moderate exercise. Long-term Finnish studies link frequent use to better cardiovascular health.
Muscle & joint recovery
Heat increases blood flow to sore muscles and eases joint stiffness — a post-training staple for athletes and a relief for arthritis.
Stress & sleep
The heat-then-cool cycle downshifts the nervous system. An evening session is one of the most reliable natural sleep aids there is.
Skin & sweat
A deep sweat flushes pores and boosts circulation to the skin — the post-sauna glow is real.
Immune support
Regular heat exposure triggers heat-shock proteins and a mild, exercise-like immune response — part of why sauna cultures swear by it in winter.
Built to last outside
Clear-grade Canadian cedar handles Georgia summers and winters alike — naturally rot-resistant, aromatic, and beautiful for decades.

Barrel, cube or indoor?
Barrels heat fastest and suit a backyard or side yard; cubes read more architectural and seat groups; indoor cabins fit a basement, garage or spare room. Send your space and we'll spec the model and heater.
How hot, and how long?
Traditional cedar saunas run 160–195°F. A session is 10–15 minutes of heat, 1–3 minutes cold, repeated two or three rounds.
What electrical is needed?
Most electric heaters need a dedicated circuit sized to the heater and room volume — we spec it with your quote and coordinate the electrician. Wood-fired models need no electrical at all.
Does cedar last outdoors here?
Yes. Clear-grade Canadian cedar is naturally rot and insect resistant and handles humid Georgia summers and winter cold snaps alike.
How long is assembly?
About a day on a level pad or deck, by our own crew — delivered and assembled across metro Atlanta from the Norcross showroom.
